Normally a protective and a benevolent spirit, the seemingly unending rage they have entered has had a devastating effect on the galaxies they swore to protect. Do they see something their inhabitants don't?

Inspired by the giants I saw at the Indonesian Embassy in Houston, I wanted to think about the plot of a galactical giant.

Like the last post, this is a composition I first thumbnailed during my first Intro to Illustration class. Though, I had always wanted to draw it anyways after the class ended. I think it's a nice contrast between the stationary figure and the stretch of the magma in and around the giant, and it'd be a nice way to experiment with this style more. It was the first time I had an unconventional light source coming from all angles and having to shade muscle.

I had all these color palettes ready since I had the class. I knew I wanted reds and warm colors to highlight the bright, hot magma. I ended up not swatching the color palettes that didn't have those intense colors. I picked the last one because of it's nice contrast between the cool blue and greens and the warm red-oranges.
